My Approach to Helping
I love seeing my clients move from distress to well-being. In sessions, I am focused, technically skilled, and aim to help you asap. We get lots done in each session, maybe because my father was an efficiency expert. I also bring my mother's warmth with me to my work, and her sense of humor, so that though we do tap into your hurts, sadnesses, and fears, we also share much laughter.
If you should be in Israel, where I currently live and work, I would look forward to working with you!

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy is to help you overcome whatever negative feelings, beliefs, or circumstances have been troubling you. You get just one life. I want to help you to enjoy it in the best of emotional health.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love learning. I learn from every client. And I have learned, and use, a broad range of therapy techniques: CBT, psychodynamic explorations to help you to understand yourself more appreciatively, marriage counseling, visualizations, energy therapies, and more.
My Role as a Therapist
I mostly wear three hats:
1) Healer-- to alleviate your painful emotional states such as anger, depression and anxiety.
2) Guide -- to keep you moving toward discovery of positive solutions to your issues, dilemmas and conflicts. Sometimes I also guide you, if you would like, in exploring your earlier-in-life experiences that are impacting your currently.
3) Coach -- so you can learn stronger skills for dealing with life's bumps in ways that sustain feeling good and enjoying great relationships.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Actually, therapy is fun. Yes, we talk about problems, and at the same time, finding solutions to your problems can feel relieving, creative and uplifting.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Therapy takes anywhere from one session to months or, on and off, for years. My typical case lasts around three months. Many clients need fewer sessions; a few need more.
