My Approach to Helping
My goal in therapy is to support my clients during stressful life phases and overcome life challenges. Together, we will discuss healthier ways of coping with emotional distress, improve self-awareness, and increase emotional well-being. Therapy can help tackle different types of challenges, and no challengeconcern is too minor for therapy.
For adults and parents, reaching out or asking for help can be difficult. Therapy provides you with a space that is free of judgement and prejudice that helps you draw meaning from life experiences while being sensitive to cultural differences.
I am a clinical psychologist with experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in the Middle East region. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from American University of Beirut. I am licensed to practice clinical psychology in Lebanon and Dubai, and I speak English and Arabic.
My specialty includes psychotherapy and psychoeducational assessments. I provide psychotherapy to children (9+ years), adolescents and adults to address various difficulties (e.g., worries, sadness, stress, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD etc.). I utilize client-centered approach and incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy techniques. I also provide parent management training, where I work with parents to help them support their children’s behavioral and emotional needs. I also provide assessments to children and adolescents struggling with educational, cognitive, behavioral andor emotional difficulties.
