Increasing Revenue and Satisfaction in Private Practice Despite the Bad Economy

Presented by Jessica A. Dolgan, PsyD on 09-11-2009 at 9 a.m. Pacific to 10:30 a.m. Pacific (1:30 p.m. Eastern)

Creating multiple streams of income is a recommendation I consistently make to therapists. Private practitioners who are able to diversify their income streams will experience an increased level of financial stability in their practice and lowered levels of stress and fear. The more ways your business can generate money and increase the public's perception of you as expert, the better. Strong and financially sound businesses offer a variety of products and services, built to compliment one another and the mission of the business, or in our case, the mission of the practice!

Passive income is an idea we often never contemplate as therapists. In fact, most therapists I speak with often have no exit strategy, or an on-going savings or retirement plan. When I ask clinicians what their exit or retirement strategy is, they often laugh and remark, "I intend to die in my chair!" Unfortunately, this is the sad truth for too many therapists. Developing multiple streams of income in your practice will help you ensure you don't have to spend your golden years in your therapist's chair unless you want to.

Clinicians who develop multiple methods for collecting income kill two birds with one stone--they make more money while spending less time in the treatment chair. This allows therapists to preserve the quality of treatment they do provide and protect their own welfare at the same time. During this seminar you will learn multiple methods and strategies to begin making money outside of providing direct service to clients.
