My Approach to Helping
I am an Arab-American Clinical Psychologist and have lived and studied in Europe, the Middle East and the United States prior to pursuing my private practice in Dubai over one decade ago. It is through expatriate living that I have come to learn about the significance of how culture, religion, customs and traditions shape our lives.
I understand the sometimes sensitive nature of sharing your life story or the difficulties that you face and the courage it takes to seek professional support. I strive to create a safe and confidential atmosphere and invite individuals and families to go through their unique histories and explore whatever ails them without judgment or prejudice of any kind. I work with people of all ages who suffer from a wide range of psychological disorders caused by early trauma or problems in living. I have special interests and extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families from various cultures that struggle with relationships, marital conflict, intimacy issues, parenting disputes, mediation or divorce counselling.
Through our professional, yet personable relationship, my view on mental health is quite holistic and tailored to meet the needs of each individual. You will always receive the unconditional respect and support, as we cultivate greater emotional intelligence and the skill-set needed to help you resolve conflicts and navigate through the challenges in your life. Through this process, understanding is met, emotional pain relieved and courage to make a difference for a better future is facilitated. My ultimate aim is to help people create everlasting change for more abundant living and experience peace of mind in all areas of their lives.
