How to Create a Hyper-Niche for Your Therapy Practice

Presented by Alison Pidgeon, MA, LPC on 01-10-2020 at 9 a.m. Pacific (noon Eastern) to 10:30 a.m. Pacific (1:30 p.m. Eastern)

Therapists living in an area where there are many other clinicians offering similar services often find it difficult to stand out and ultimately attract attention from potential clients. Large metropolitan areas, like New York City, have thousands of therapists in a relatively small area. For these therapists, "hyper-niching"--being very specific about your niche--is recommended to stand out from the crowd. While most experts recommend clinicians "niche down" their therapy practice, this takes it one step further.

In this 90-minute marketing webinar, Alison Pidgeon, MA, LPC will discuss how clinicians may need to adapt their practice to stay competitive in today’s market. For instance, instead of being the practice that treats clients with anxiety, they may need to become the practice that treats "millennials with panic disorder that are also experiencing relationship issues." In addition, hyper-niching can mean offering a type of therapy that is not common, such as "pet loss therapy."

Alison will help clinicians to learn how hyper-niching their practice can generate self-pay clients and a full caseload.

This marketing webinar is designed to help clinicians:

  1. Describe what hyper-niching is and ways it may benefit certain private practices.
  2. Plan how to determine a hyper-niche for one's practice.
  3. Prepare a marketing plan for one's practice based on one's hyper-niche.
  4. Compile examples of hyper-niches and how to market to one's ideal clients.
  5. Summarize how one's unique expertise can generate self-pay clients.
