My Approach to Helping

Plain and simple, my passion is helping you to thrive. I believe in the power of a co-created relationship that is uniquely and specifically focused on all of the you that makes you, you. This exploration includes not only your pain, your trauma, your grief and your challenges but also your gifts, your successes, your interests and your joys.

Together, we will explore some of the aspects of your story and your life that have maybe been too hard to talk to anyone about before. I will create a safe, consistent and sometimes even challenging environment through which you can feel all of the things you are ready to move past, and to help you put the pieces of your story and your life back together again.

My core belief is in coming to this work with you is that nobody's story is too painful to be heard or healed. Even yours. I stand by this wholeheartedly. And I have over 15 years of experience and evidence through my work that people DO change and heal every single day.

Today is a new day. And I would be honored to help you through it. If you are ready to put in the time and commitment, I can absolutely help you get to the next level of growth in your life.

More Info About My Practice

The most difficult part of the journey to self-discovery is recognizing the need for change. That can be recognition within your life or within others in your life.

You are here today. That is a good sign that you have probably come to a point where you are tired of being uncomfortable or severely distressed and are ready to make that leap.

I am here to build a co-created relationship together; one in which we explore the core issues that are holding you back in life. We will also delve into the passions and desires you have left untapped until now. During our work together, you will find yourself feeling more empowered, more expansive and more understanding of your life challenges. You will find education about your challenges and a new internal voice with which to grow past your losses, your pain, and your past. No problem is too great or too small for us to build together.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Acute Grief and Loss, Trauma and PTSD, Addiction(s), LGBTQ Issues, Relationship Challenges, Professional/Work Related Stresses, Mental Illness, and Challenges around Change/Transitions

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

My belief is that Psychotherapy is the opportunity to explore the contours of yourself that have yet to be discovered. And to revisit some of the aspects of you that maybe have been too painful to face until now. It is my job to know you. To see you. And to relate to all of the aspects of you in ways that empower you to move forward into life with increased emotional freedom, peace, clarity of purpose and joy.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

While I never believe that two people should be treated the same, I do believe in some fundamental truths and principles that absolutely guide my work.

1. Nobody's Story is Too Painful to be Heard or Healed. Even Yours.
2. Time does not heal all wounds, but time and work do.
3. There is nothing in you to be "fixed;' but there is a lot within you that is waiting to be found.
4. Your story until now is only the beginning. It is never too early or too late to write a new chapter.
5. Empowerment and health have always been within you. Through pain and hardship, it may have gotten buried or lost. But it is never impossible to find it again.
